How do I identify the correct part for my pressure washer?
Start with the pump's own data plate — usually stamped on the pump body itself, not the machine's outer cabinet — and record the manufacturer, model number, PSI, and GPM. What if I can't find or read the data plate?
Check the machine's original owner's manual, often available as a PDF from the manufacturer's support site, which typically lists the pump make and model in the parts diagram section. If the pump is a common one (AR, General Pump, Cat Pumps), the plunger diameter can also be measured directly to narrow down compatible seal kits.
Are aftermarket parts as reliable as OEM?
For high-turnover wear items — seals, o-rings, unloader valves, nozzles — quality aftermarket parts from reputable manufacturers perform the same job as OEM at a lower cost.
