Valves Buying Guide
Match thread size and pressure rating
Confirm both the thread size/type (NPT vs. BSPP is a common mismatch on imported pumps) and the pressure rating before ordering — a valve that threads in fine but is under-rated for your pump's PSI will fail prematurely.
Sediment is the main cause of early failure
Grit and mineral sediment are the most common reason check valves stick or seat improperly. An inline filter ahead of the pump extends valve life along with seals and pistons.
