Gear-reducer oil seals keep the gearbox oil where it belongs on pressure washer pumps driven through a reduction gearbox. The 90168000 seal rides on the rotating shaft at the reducer housing, retaining oil while excluding water, dirt, and washdown spray; a failed seal shows up as oil weeping at the gearbox or, worse, water contaminating the gear oil. Because gearboxes run hot and see washdown chemicals, seals here age faster than many owners expect.
