Kit 271 is the oil seal service set for ESN, ES, and EPS series pumps — the seals that sit where each plunger passes from the oil-filled crankcase into the water end, keeping crankcase oil in and water out. When these seals fail, water migrates into the oil (turning it milky) or oil weeps toward the pump head, and continued running contaminates the oil and accelerates internal wear. Servicing all three plungers' oil seals together is standard practice.
