A plated-steel 3/8-inch quick-connect plug with a 3/8-inch MNPT (male pipe thread) end. The zinc/chromium plating gives the carbon steel body corrosion protection while steel's hardness stands up to the wear of repeated insertion into 3/8-inch sockets — the size used for hoses, hose reels, ball valves, and surface cleaners. Plated steel is the economical workhorse choice for low-corrosion applications. Listed as SKU 4780.
